I'm sitting in my living room. And it's dark.
I'm looking out the window. And it's dark.
Even with the light on. It's dark.
I'm going to get up and make hot chocolate. It's still dark.
I'm back from making hot chocolate. It got darker.
I'm looking at the hot chocolate. It's dark, so I can't see it that well.
Someone just texted me. Hey look! Light!
I texted him back. My phone went black.
It's dark again.
End.
This here is a "WebLog". This particular "WebLog" talks about stuff that people find funny, as well as the occasional love/hate topic. Please, do enjoy.

Still Going Strong...Yet Very Lazy
Hello there friends.
Well, blogging for Writing Styles for the Media is done. But you know what?? Imma keep going. I like it. And I have something to write about today! Not just babbling about nonsense to get the right amount of blogs for the week. And the topic for today is.......the Forever Lazy!
Oh. My. God.
Remember when the Snuggie first came out?? I thought it was a joke! What's the big deal about a blanket with sleeves? Normal blankets work just fine! But apparently, society fell for the media's tricks. Either that, or they wanted to buy it because it was so stupid. Kind of like how some movies are so stupid, they're funny.
Is this some kind of new advertising technique?
Those bastards...
Anways, the point is, the Snuggie was the big thing. Now, they came out with the Forever Lazy. THE stupidest thing I've ever seen. Oh, I'm sorry, I mean, the most brilliant invention of the season. And I'm sure everyone will love it. Just look at it!
You can even unzip your buttocks area for when nature calls!
If this isn't a winner. I don't know what is...

What Did You Say?
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Now that that nonsense of a greeting is over, I have a fun and exciting activity for all who read this to do.
Are you ready??
You sure??
Okay! Well, here is what you are going to do. I am going to give you several things to say to yourself. But, you have to say it in a British accent. I LOVE doing this. I could talk in a British accent all day if I wanted to. The only problem is that I know I would be socially unaccepted if I did. Think about it. An American person like myself talking in a really bad British accent. Sure it'd be fun, but kind of annoying to the people that know me.
Anyways, here they are!
"Potentially problematic"
"Not to mention the pincers"
"We'll take the lot!"
"Squirrel"
"Hello, I would like a cup of tea"
"This class is ridiculous"
"All she wants to do is snog me!"
Have fun! I'm sure your lips will tingle with the spiciness of your conversations.
P.S. Hi Ms. Jablecki. The "This class is ridiculous" quote is from Harry Potter. I do not think that Writing Styles for the Media is ridiculous. I like it a lot!
That's all. Goodbye!

Blogging for the Sake of Blogging
HELLO THERE FRIENDS
I'm in a pretty good mood today.
It's Sunday, the day before Halloween, and I've been watching all the Halloween shizzle they have on TV. I don't know why, but it puts me in this good mood.
I, at this moment, am laying in my bed, under my blankets, with my heated sheets. First off, I have to say that heated sheets are the best invention since food. One cannot live without it. Second, MY FEET ARE SO WARM! Warm feet= happy Becca.
Just for funsies, I would like to share a video that I found while back roaming the great website that is know as YouTube. I find it funny, and hopefully you will too. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with any exciting current events, or any exciting thoughts for that matter! It is just plain enjoyable.
So here it is.

What Writing Styles for the Media Has Taught Me
HI.
I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, which a lot of people would say is really unusual for me. This is not necessarily true, but the point is that I've been doing a lot of thinking lately.
Just recently, our class has been talking about the different types of advertising there are out there in the world. Now, I absolutely love watching commercials. Weird, right? When everyone else changes the channel to see if something else is on, I'm the one that will sit there and watch the infomercial channel. My father thinks there's something wrong with my head for doing so.
Here's the story. I'm sitting on my couch, watching TV and minding my own business. Then, a commercial comes on. I caught myself evaluating every commercial that was aired. I'm here thinking to myself, "What has this class done to me?!" Then I got over the thought because my favorite commercial came on and I didn't want to miss it.
Here are still shots of some of my favorite commercials. Can you guess what they are?
Go watch some TV. Find your favorite commercial today!

Halloween Already??
Yo.
It's already the end of October? What? Where did time go??
That's right, folks, it's that time of the year again. Time to find a dorky costume and pass out candy to little children screaming "TRICK OR TREAT" in your face. I really shouldn't say anything about a dorky costume, though, because I plan on dressing like the Sundrop girl, no matter where I go. I might just stay dressed like her all day...
Anyways, it's time to get in the spirit of Halloween! Get it? Spirit? Ghost?
I made a funny.
Well, one of my most favorite things to watch that is Halloween related is, no, not Ghost Hunters (although I do watch the marathon on Halloween) but my one of my favorite episodes of Spongebob Squarepants: Shanghaied. It is a classic episode with some of the funniest and most memorable lines in the entire series.
I promise to post less about Spongebob after this, but I couldn't help myself.
Well, here it is!! Please, do enjoy.

Being Scared is Fun!
AH.
Recently, half my senior class and I went to Cedar Point for Halloweekends. It. Was. GREAT. I mean, the rides were pretty awesome as usual, but the entire experience of Halloweekends was amazing! For me, the walkthroughs weren't all that scary, they were just fun. However, a lot of people in my class were scared out of their pants and refused to go in. That in itself was funny. Seeing their reactions was one of the best parts.
Maybe I should get a job as a scary person.
Seeing people be scared is quite enjoyable.
I thrive on peoples' fear...
One haunted house was actually really scary. Me and one other person (who was brave enough to go in with me) waited 45 minutes to get in. When we were allowed to go in, we had to evacuate almost immediatly due to the fact that someone had a seizure! The ironic thing was that the haunted house was called the Eternity Infirmary. But they needed to call a real ambulance. Anyways, that should have been a sign that we shouldn't have gone back in. But we did! And it was worth it, because it was really fun and scary! Of course the girl I was with ended up shoving me in front of her and using me as a shield. I would have been infuriated if I didn't think that is was funny.
I always use pictues in my blogs, so here are some pictures of people being scared in a haunted house, courtesy of smosh.com.

Harry Potter?!
Ello.
Today's topic of interest is going to be stuff having to do with Harry Potter.
I know a lot of people who would agree that Harry Potter is waaaay better than Twilight. Just throwing that out there.
Do you want to know what this girl did a couple days ago at school? She wore her Gryffindor scarf all day! Now, many people may not think that this is kind of surprising. First off, I normally tend to follow school rules. And going to a catholic all-girls school, there are a lot of rules having to do with dress code and whatnot. But I figured I might as well have at least a little fun my senior year. So, I wore my scarf.
And I didn't do this just for funsies, I did it partly for the reason that I had a cold and I wanted to keep my neck warm. Smart, right? But I also wanted to do it to see how many teacher would tell me to take it off or how many would compliment it. And the results were surprising! No one told me to take it off, I got about two or three teacher compliments.
I must admit, though, my scarf wearing was not nearly as funny as "My Life As Shell" writer Michelle's wearing a zebra-print Snuggie all day to school. That was pretty humorous.
Well, back to Harry-related stuff.
I am SUPER excited for HP7P2 to come out on DVD. I made a promise to myself to get it the day it comes out. And I'm sure many people have made the same promise.
It's just such a good series! Dramatic and magical and funny, it's perfect.
By the way, I know I'm not the biggest fan. I'm just a big fan. Somewhere in the middle, I'm sure.
In my opinion, one of the best features of the Harry Potter phenomenon is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida. Every detail of the park is spot-on. I was in awe when I went, and I felt as if I was there. The only problem was the over-population of this world. Thus, there were far too many people there. But it was still amazing!

It's really sad that this is so difficult to see. It says, "Now, once you've got a hold of your broom, I want you to mount it. Grip it tight. You don't want to be sliding off the end." "That's what she said."
I'm done now. Bye.

Sickness
Hi.
This, here, is my homework. I am currently home sick. I have had a cold for just over a week now, and this past weekend has been its worse. I. Feel. Disgusting.
Well, the reason I started this post with "This, here, is my homework," is because I was clearly told by my mother this morning to do homework while I continue to blow my nose and feel as if my head is the size of a hot air balloon. And since this is for a class where I need to be posting blog posts twice a week, this really is my homework.
I just sneezed.
OW. OW. My ears....
This has got to be the longest cold I've ever had. Usually they go on for three days at the most. But it's been EIGHT and I want it to be over. Why can't I be like my dog? She does absolutely nothing all day. I'm sure everyone at one point has imagined being their pet. They have the best life! They don't have to work, they always get treats, and they don't have to go through 16 years of h-e-double hockey sticks, I mean, school.
Ahhhh it hurts my head to blow my nose.
I'm starting to get chills. Is this getting really serious?! I should google the symptoms.
OH MY GAWD IM GOING TO DIE.
I realize this post makes me seem really delusional. What can I say? I'm sick.
Bye.

Today, a Pointless Blog
Hello there friends.
LET'S TALK SPONGEBOB.
I'm sure many fans would agree with me when I say that the new and recent Spongebob episode aren't really as good as the originals. Yet, they're still funny! So, I thought I'd share some of my favorite moments in Spongebob history.

More to come later on, but these are some funny clips to start!

This City
Hello there friends!
As many Detroit sports lovers know, yesterday was a great day for our city.
Warning: Anyone who knows me knows I love sports. Anyone who doesn't may think that I'm just a dork who claims that figure skating is a sport (which it is) but I love real sports too!
WELL let's start with the Tigers. No surprise to us, they won! I'm starting to get a really good feeling about the playoffs aaaand the World Series perhaps? But before we get there we have to play the Indians. I really don't like them. So that'll be interesting.

Kay friends bye.

Another team I'm quite proud of is the Lions. I mean, everyone should be at this point. They came back from a 20 point deficit to win 26-23 in overtime! I certainly never thought they'd pull it off. So now they're 3-0 on the season, and all the teams they beat are thinking "Ohmygod we were just beat by the Lions..." But, they're starting to make me proud of them, so hoorah.^^^not so much, yet.
Saving the best for last, the Red Wings played against the Chicago Blackhawks in their 4th game of the preseason. I'll start by saying that I really don't like that Brandon Pirri kid from Chicago. He scored two goals and one shootout goal last night, and that's just not okay. Luckily, our boys were able to pull it off in the shootout winning 4-3. And Ty Conklin seemed pretty solid to me. ^^^attack of the Hudlers'!

The New Facebook
Hello there friends!
As we all know, a recent epidemic has caused a lot of fuss in the social media world. The question being: What happened to Facebook?!
Along with the numerous confusing changes came numerous complaints...
"Where's my newsfeed?"
"They changed it again??"
"I really could care less what other people are doing."
"IF THEY KEEP CHANGING IT, I WILL DELETE MY ACCOUNT."
Yes, as an avid Facebook user, I agree that the changes are confusing and pointless and I admit that they do frazzle me. But let's get real. We will all be used to it in a few weeks. Just give it time. That is, until they change it again....
Another thing I find funny about these changes are the people who complain about people complaining about Facebook. It just makes everything funnier! What it comes down to is this: It's a free site. We should at least be happy that they aren't charging us for the use of it yet. You never know, it might happen one day. And when that day comes, that's when people will really start deleting their accounts. That'll be the day where there will be not only complaints, but protests, petitions, even riots.
One good thing has come from the ever-changing layouts. We barely hear any more of this...

Happiness, thy name is Becca.
Hello there friends! You have just stumbled upon a brand new blog which you will hopefully find, well, at least somewhat funny and enjoyable. Congratulations! This blog is for my Writing Styles for the Media class, but I've always wanted to make one anyway. So, I'm pretty pumped. To start this little diddy, here's a little about myself...
Hi! My name is Becca. I am a senior this year and I go to an all-girls high school. Some people may say, "Aw, that's unfortunate," but I say to you that it is actually more fun than it sounds. You'll just have to keep reading week after week to find out... Anyway, I'm 16 years old and am turning seventeen in about a week! Happiness, thy name is Becca. I also love Spongebob. Now, Spongebob is supposed to be for 6-11 years olds, and to that I say YOU ARE WRONG. I will certainly never grow out of it. Along with my kid-ish interests, I also love hockey. No, I have never played hockey before, nor do I plan on it, but it's by far my favorite sport. With that, I'll also say that my favorite team is the Red Wings! Gawd I love them...
I am figure skater. I used to be part of this big synchronized skating team called the Crystallettes. I was with them for about 7 years, then "formally retired" this year. One of my favorite parts was the traveling. The past two years I've been on Senior which is the highest level of the synchro world. We also do all the international competitions, so we went to Prague two years ago and Paris this past year. And the programs were pretty awesome too. Ohh the memories... Yeah I miss it, but I'm happy.
A couple last minor things about me, my favorite ice cream is French Silk, my favorite candy bar is Twix, my favorite pop is Diet Sundrop, and for some odd reason, I'm addicted to youtube. I applied to six colleges, but my biggest interests are two: Michigan State and Ferris State. At this point in time I want to be an optometrist. If I happen to get accepted to both, the hardest decision of my life will be which one to go to. I'll need help, fersher.
And that's all for now!
