What Did You Say?

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Now that that nonsense of a greeting is over, I have a fun and exciting activity for all who read this to do.

Are you ready??

You sure??

Okay! Well, here is what you are going to do. I am going to give you several things to say to yourself. But, you have to say it in a British accent. I LOVE doing this. I could talk in a British accent all day if I wanted to. The only problem is that I know I would be socially unaccepted if I did. Think about it. An American person like myself talking in a really bad British accent. Sure it'd be fun, but kind of annoying to the people that know me.

Anyways, here they are!

"Potentially problematic"
"Not to mention the pincers"
"We'll take the lot!"
"Squirrel"
"Hello, I would like a cup of tea"
"This class is ridiculous"
"All she wants to do is snog me!"

Have fun! I'm sure your lips will tingle with the spiciness of your conversations.

P.S. Hi Ms. Jablecki. The "This class is ridiculous" quote is from Harry Potter. I do not think that Writing Styles for the Media is ridiculous. I like it a lot!
That's all. Goodbye!

Blogging for the Sake of Blogging

HELLO THERE FRIENDS

I'm in a pretty good mood today.

It's Sunday, the day before Halloween, and I've been watching all the Halloween shizzle they have on TV. I don't know why, but it puts me in this good mood.

I, at this moment, am laying in my bed, under my blankets, with my heated sheets. First off, I have to say that heated sheets are the best invention since food. One cannot live without it. Second, MY FEET ARE SO WARM! Warm feet= happy Becca.

Just for funsies, I would like to share a video that I found while back roaming the great website that is know as YouTube. I find it funny, and hopefully you will too. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with any exciting current events, or any exciting thoughts for that matter! It is just plain enjoyable.

So here it is.

What Writing Styles for the Media Has Taught Me

HI.

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, which a lot of people would say is really unusual for me. This is not necessarily true, but the point is that I've been doing a lot of thinking lately.

Just recently, our class has been talking about the different types of advertising there are out there in the world. Now, I absolutely love watching commercials. Weird, right? When everyone else changes the channel to see if something else is on, I'm the one that will sit there and watch the infomercial channel. My father thinks there's something wrong with my head for doing so.

Here's the story. I'm sitting on my couch, watching TV and minding my own business. Then, a commercial comes on. I caught myself evaluating every commercial that was aired. I'm here thinking to myself, "What has this class done to me?!" Then I got over the thought because my favorite commercial came on and I didn't want to miss it.

Here are still shots of some of my favorite commercials. Can you guess what they are?

Go watch some TV. Find your favorite commercial today!

Halloween Already??

Yo.

It's already the end of October? What? Where did time go??

That's right, folks, it's that time of the year again. Time to find a dorky costume and pass out candy to little children screaming "TRICK OR TREAT" in your face. I really shouldn't say anything about a dorky costume, though, because I plan on dressing like the Sundrop girl, no matter where I go. I might just stay dressed like her all day...

Anyways, it's time to get in the spirit of Halloween! Get it? Spirit? Ghost?
I made a funny.

Well, one of my most favorite things to watch that is Halloween related is, no, not Ghost Hunters (although I do watch the marathon on Halloween) but my one of my favorite episodes of Spongebob Squarepants: Shanghaied. It is a classic episode with some of the funniest and most memorable lines in the entire series.

I promise to post less about Spongebob after this, but I couldn't help myself.

Well, here it is!! Please, do enjoy.

Being Scared is Fun!

AH.

Recently, half my senior class and I went to Cedar Point for Halloweekends. It. Was. GREAT. I mean, the rides were pretty awesome as usual, but the entire experience of Halloweekends was amazing! For me, the walkthroughs weren't all that scary, they were just fun. However, a lot of people in my class were scared out of their pants and refused to go in. That in itself was funny. Seeing their reactions was one of the best parts.

Maybe I should get a job as a scary person.
Seeing people be scared is quite enjoyable.
I thrive on peoples' fear...

One haunted house was actually really scary. Me and one other person (who was brave enough to go in with me) waited 45 minutes to get in. When we were allowed to go in, we had to evacuate almost immediatly due to the fact that someone had a seizure! The ironic thing was that the haunted house was called the Eternity Infirmary. But they needed to call a real ambulance. Anyways, that should have been a sign that we shouldn't have gone back in. But we did! And it was worth it, because it was really fun and scary! Of course the girl I was with ended up shoving me in front of her and using me as a shield. I would have been infuriated if I didn't think that is was funny.

I always use pictues in my blogs, so here are some pictures of people being scared in a haunted house, courtesy of smosh.com.

You're welcome.

Harry Potter?!

Ello.

Today's topic of interest is going to be stuff having to do with Harry Potter.

I know a lot of people who would agree that Harry Potter is waaaay better than Twilight. Just throwing that out there.

Do you want to know what this girl did a couple days ago at school? She wore her Gryffindor scarf all day! Now, many people may not think that this is kind of surprising. First off, I normally tend to follow school rules. And going to a catholic all-girls school, there are a lot of rules having to do with dress code and whatnot. But I figured I might as well have at least a little fun my senior year. So, I wore my scarf.
And I didn't do this just for funsies, I did it partly for the reason that I had a cold and I wanted to keep my neck warm. Smart, right? But I also wanted to do it to see how many teacher would tell me to take it off or how many would compliment it. And the results were surprising! No one told me to take it off, I got about two or three teacher compliments.
I must admit, though, my scarf wearing was not nearly as funny as "My Life As Shell" writer Michelle's wearing a zebra-print Snuggie all day to school. That was pretty humorous.

Well, back to Harry-related stuff.
I am SUPER excited for HP7P2 to come out on DVD. I made a promise to myself to get it the day it comes out. And I'm sure many people have made the same promise.
It's just such a good series! Dramatic and magical and funny, it's perfect.
By the way, I know I'm not the biggest fan. I'm just a big fan. Somewhere in the middle, I'm sure.
In my opinion, one of the best features of the Harry Potter phenomenon is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida. Every detail of the park is spot-on. I was in awe when I went, and I felt as if I was there. The only problem was the over-population of this world. Thus, there were far too many people there. But it was still amazing!

It's really sad that this is so difficult to see. It says, "Now, once you've got a hold of your broom, I want you to mount it. Grip it tight. You don't want to be sliding off the end." "That's what she said."
I'm done now. Bye.

Sickness

Hi.

This, here, is my homework. I am currently home sick. I have had a cold for just over a week now, and this past weekend has been its worse. I. Feel. Disgusting.
Well, the reason I started this post with "This, here, is my homework," is because I was clearly told by my mother this morning to do homework while I continue to blow my nose and feel as if my head is the size of a hot air balloon. And since this is for a class where I need to be posting blog posts twice a week, this really is my homework.
I just sneezed.
OW. OW. My ears....

This has got to be the longest cold I've ever had. Usually they go on for three days at the most. But it's been EIGHT and I want it to be over. Why can't I be like my dog? She does absolutely nothing all day. I'm sure everyone at one point has imagined being their pet. They have the best life! They don't have to work, they always get treats, and they don't have to go through 16 years of h-e-double hockey sticks, I mean, school.
Ahhhh it hurts my head to blow my nose.
I'm starting to get chills. Is this getting really serious?!  I should google the symptoms.
OH MY GAWD IM GOING TO DIE.
I realize this post makes me seem really delusional. What can I say? I'm sick.

Bye.
